Joel Walsh's Profile
A 2005 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Joel Walsh left a reporting job with a string of weekly newspapers northwest of Kansas City to pursue a master’s degree in journalism at MU. Joel has also covered local sports and community events on a freelance basis with publications in the Kansas City and St. Louis metropolitan areas, including work with The Kansas City Star. His research on the history of St. Louis’s two Negro Leagues baseball teams resulted in a feature article published in the Missouri Historical Society’s quarterly magazine, Gateway, in 2004.
