I'm Kelly, the assistant director of community outreach, and I help Joy Mayer, the director of community outreach, with getting Columbia involved in the news at the Columbia Missourian. I also assist with the Community Outreach Team, as their teaching assistant. I graduated from MU in May 2012 and am attending MU to pursue a Master's in journalism. I just finished my coursework and will be working on research for my thesis this summer.

I worked on the community outreach team in the fall of 2011 and, before that, I was a beat reporter for Vox Magazine. Originally from St. Louis, I have enjoyed getting to know Columbia as my new home base. I'm a proud Missourian and revel in all the glorious trivia surrounding our fine state.
