WHAT DO I DO?
I am a community beat reporter at the Columbia Missourian. Every week, I walk around and talk to people in order to find interesting stories.
WHAT IS THE TYPE OF JOURNALISM I AM INTERESTED IN?
I enjoy writing a lot, and about any kind of subject. Although I have a slight preference for community and social stories. I would love to work as a reporter for a newspaper or a magazine.
WHERE AM I FROM?
I am from a very small but great country: Belgium. It is situated between France, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany.
I was born in Brussels, the capital city of Belgium and of the European Union. It is a multicultural city that has two official languages (french and dutch) but tons of other languages spoken. I have been living and studying there almost my whole life.
WHAT AM I DOING HERE IN COLUMBIA?
I am currently on exchange here at Mizzou. It is actually the third time I study abroad and it is an enriching experience every time. I am passionate about learning other languages and other cultures.
HOW DO I SPEND MY FREE TIME?
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family whenever I can. I am also a big fan of sports: I love to watch tennis and soccer on TV. I also enjoy doing sports. I run, dance, swim and do yoga.
As I have a very busy life, I like to relax from time to time by reading a book.
