Michael Shaw's Profile

Writing has been a passion of Michael's since the fourth grade when he founded his parochial school's first newspaper. While his paper was shut down in a manner of weeks (freedom of the press wasn't an inalienable right at St. Paul School), his interest in writing continued, leading him to write for his high school newspaper as well as the Jefferson County Leader.

Now a sportswriter for the Columbia Missourian, Michael will be covering Tolton Catholic and Stephens College athletics. He is from Fenton, Mo., and is an avid tennis player.
