Robby Lewis's Profile
Robby is a senior at MU, who is majoring in print and digital journalism with a minor in English. Raised in St. Louis, Robby has wanted to be a sports reporter since he realized he wasn’t very good at playing them. He got his first taste of his love after serving as the sports editor for Louie Magazine in St. Louis during his senior year of high school.
After coming to MU, he reported on the city, state and nation beat for The Maneater in hopes of broadening his journalism talents. Robby traveled to Jena, La. with three other MU students to cover the Jena 6 march, which earned him and his colleagues awards.
During spring semester 2009, he wrote sports for the Missourian. He primarily covered MU and high school wrestling, along with high school tennis. He had the chance to be at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, and cover Mark Ellis’ national championship victory in the heavyweight division. Shortly after this semester, Robby took over as the St. Louis Blues beat writer for Hockey’s Future Magazine, a primarily online publication.
