Hayley Tsukayama's Profile
Hayley Tsukayama is a 23-year old graduate student pursuing her
master's degree in public policy journalism at the University of
Missouri in Columbia, Mo. She's a total nerd and is rarely without her
AP style guide and her trusty fountain pen—while on the job.
A native of Bloomington, Minn., Hayley recently had the pleasure of
writing for her hometown paper, the (Minneapolis) Star Tribune, where
she wrote stories about hip hop, table tennis and everything in
between. This semester, she is a reporter on the K-12 beat at the
Columbia Missourian.
Hayley graduated in 2008 from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.,
with a bachelor's degree in History and Japanese and a minor in
English. A Midwestern girl at heart, she's happy to be "back west"
and closer to her family, her friends and her beloved Minnesota Twins.
