WHAT DO YOU DO AT THE MISSOURIAN? I manage multimedia projects produced by our eager and talented staff of reporters and photographers.

WHAT KIND OF JOURNALISM KEEPS YOU GOING? Every day I need a challenge. If I can find my challenge for that day, I'm happy. When a story challenges me to tell it in a new way, show it to a new audience or solve a geeky technological problem, I'm happy.

WHAT'S YOUR WORK AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND? For five years I was a reporter at The (Louisville, Ky.) Courier-Journal, Kentucky's largest newspaper. I started as a writer but caught the photojournalism bug after reporters were increasingly asked to produce video stories and audio slideshows. My foundation as a reporter there allowed me to use my storytelling skills and build visually on top of them. After leaving The C-J, I produced documentary video work for a media strategy and development company in Louisville before joining Yahoo! Sports' Kentucky college sports product at in 2011. For two years I covered college football and basketball, both as a photojournalist and picture editor, including the University of Kentucky's NCAA Basketball Championship in 2012 at the Final Four in New Orleans.

WHAT'S YOUR LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK LIKE? I'm a single dad and my son is totally my bff. When he isn't with me, we are chatting over FaceTime. I love running, both on- and off-road. I'm anxious to check out the Katy and MKT trails. I also have a half-dozen TV addictions throughout the year that keep me busy — Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Game of Thrones to name a few.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT COLUMBIA? While I'm new to CoMo, the city has opened up to me. Downtown and campus is teeming with humanity. Everyone seems to have a story to tell. Time to get to work!
