Zach Murdock's Profile

Born and raised in Kansas City, Zach Murdock was a higher education reporter this past school year.

He's the creative genius behind the Twitter account, @zach_murdock, and frequently blogs about his experiences as a journalist in the changing media landscape at zachmurdock.wordpress.com.

Last summer he worked as a video operations intern for his hometown Major League Soccer team, Sporting Kansas City. In the summer of 2010, he interned at the Park Record in Park City, Utah, as a reporter and editor.

This summer he's headed to Ellsworth, Maine, to write for The Ellsworth American but he will return to the Missourian this fall as an Assistant City Editor.

He expects to graduate May of next year and hopes to go on to a career serving a community he loves — just as he does now.
