Elizabeth Anne Lairson

COLUMBIA — Elizabeth Anne Lairson came a week early, as planned, when she arrived on Monday.
She came into the world at 12:08 p.m., weighing 8 pounds, 10 ounces.
“She’s so beautiful, and I’m not saying that because she’s my granddaughter,” said grandmother Nancy Heisler.
Even though Elizabeth was early, her birth wasn’t unexpected, said mom Jessica Heisler. Her birth was induced early with the doctor’s permission, she said.
Elizabeth is the first child for father Christopher Lairson, but the second for Jessica Heisler. Jessica Heisler said that she knew what to do and what to plan for because of the birth of her first child, Chase, who’s now 2 and a half years old.
Nancy Heisler and her daughter said that they had been collecting things for the baby over the last few months.
“This baby has more clothes than I do,” Nancy Heisler joked.
Elizabeth’s brother is spending the week with his grandparents in Fulton, Nancy Heisler said. That way, mother and baby will have a few days to settle in alone.
Chase was very excited about his little sister, though, Nancy Heisler said. When Jessica Heisler was pregnant, he would try to give the baby a bottle by sticking a toy bottle in his mother’s navel, she said.
Elizabeth is the third grandchild for Nancy and Raymond Heisler and the fifth for Karen and Chuck Lairson of Fulton.
