Jonah Michael Barringhaus

Valentine’s Day was extra-special this year for Michael and Jennifer Barringhaus, who are celebrating the newest addition to their family, Jonah Michael Barringhaus.
“It was a nice surprise,” Jennifer said of Jonah’s month-early arrival. Jennifer is a speech language pathologist for Howard County public schools, and Michael manages a grain elevator.
Jonah was born at 7:12 a.m. on Feb. 4, 2008, at Boone Hospital Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces.
Jonah has one 13-month-old sister, Addison. Jennifer said Addison is still getting used to her brother but has started to realize that he is here to stay.
“The entire family is very excited,” Jennifer said. “He was visited in the hospital by aunts and uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles who brought him stuffed animals and clothes.”
One of Jonah’s grandmothers, a quilter, made sure he had enough blankets. Jonah will be the eighth grandchild on one side of the family and the sixth on the other.
