Nobel laureate Betty Williams was a founder of the Northern Ireland Peace Movement (later renamed Community of Peace People). She shared the Nobel Peace prize with Mairead Corrigan in 1976. Williams is also the head of the Global Children's Foundation.
The event is co-sponsored by William Woods University, MU's Peace Studies Program, and the Center on Religion & the Professions. The event is free.
