Harmony for Humanity

In an effort to elevate values of peace, tolerance and relationships, MU’s Jewish Student Organization sponsored “Harmony for Humanity,” a concert series highlighting the life of Daniel Pearl. The event took place Tuesday night at Mojo’s where crowds gathered to listen to a variety of bands, such as Kinetix, the Northwoods and Save Praise Dance Ministry of Columbia. Pearl, a journalist for the Wall Street Journal, was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002. His career and his appreciation for music were the inspiration the organization wanted to promote in order to create commonalities among people of different backgrounds and values.
