Rock Bridge graduate competes in SkillsUSA

Ben Truesdell, a Rock Bridge High School graduate, slices potatoes to prepare his second entree, a poached salmon with parsley potatoes and stewed zucchini with an herbed beurre blanc. Truesdell competed June 25 in the culinary arts competition at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City. Contestants were required to prepare a green salad, a chicken and vegetable soup and two entrees. Truesdell placed fourth out of 42 contestants.
