Sales of hot dogs are best when the weather isn't too hot, said hot-dog vendor Trey Aldridge. "Usually if it's really hot, (customers) prefer not to get a hot dog; they just want to get a drink," Aldridge said. His afternoon shift outside the post office offers a quick lunch for passers-by.
