Claudette Henderson is the "neighborhood mama, with no pay" she said. The bench on Allen Walkway is her favorite place from the Douglass Park area. She likes to play with the children there because it's a safe area, away from the streets and the cars. Henderson has 20 years of medical experience, but she intends to take a computer class offered by the Columbia Housing Authority to have the chance of getting a better job. The portrait was taken on Allen Walkway.
