High school homecoming queen competition
October 7, 2009 | 6:18 p.m. CDTFrom left to right, Mica Lopez, a queen candidate for Hickman high school's homecoming, Gaby Lopez, Grace Grigg, and Jessie Ross sell hot dogs, chips and soda to raise money to benefit Special Olympics during lunch on Wednesday. Lopez chose to benefit this charity with inspiration from a friend at work and her friend's brother who are involved in Special Olympics. The title of queen is given to the queen candidate who raises the most money for their selected charity.
