Audience listens to Alzheimer's lecture
November 7, 2009 | 8:01 p.m. CSTFrom left: Gilbert Pritzel, Judi Hasler, Kay Niemeier and Art and Pat Geren listen as Dr. Alison Goate lectures on the genetic factors that contribute to the development of Alzheimer's at the Lenoir Woods Community Center on Friday. Pritzel's wife, the mother of Hasler and Neimeier, passed away as an Alzheimer's patient. The three drove to the forum from Jefferson City to further their understanding of the disease. They all credit the support they received from the Mid-Missouri Alzheimer's Association as something that helped them to deal with the disease. The Gerens have been residents of Lenoir for over 20 years and wanted more information on the disease, which Pat was diagnosed with over 4 years ago.
