White grub DNA gets sequenced
January 27, 2010 | 12:01 a.m. CSTMU sophomore Josh Hendren goes through the process of sequencing the DNA of white grub specimens in the MU Agricultural Building Tuesday. By sequencing the white grub's DNA Hendren will be able to identify the specimen which could help farmers with pesky beetle problems. "By sequencing the DNA you can say this is the type of beetle you have which would give farmers a better advantage in taking care of it," Hendren said.
