CHART: Tornadoes

MU climatologist Tony Lupo says the influence of El Niño in the Pacific Ocean is likely to produce a stormier spring than usual in the Midwest. In the past 20 years, Missouri’s peak of tornado activity came in 2006, with 101 tornadoes. There have not been any tornadoes reported yet in 2010.
