GRAPH: Downtown enforcement

In May 2009, a seven-member Downtown Police Team began increased enforcement downtown. The unit was assigned to combat crimes associated with the bar scene such as underage drinking and fights. Since the team was started, an analysis by the Columbia Police Department shows a higher number of self-initiated calls by officers assigned to downtown.
