Chickens peck at the heels of Dustin Stanton, 17, after he gathers all the eggs for the evening on Monday. Stanton started raising chickens in the first grade, and over the years, his educational project evolved into a business. Now he and his brother Austin, 14, own 5,000 to 6,000 chickens, and sell eggs at more than 20 locations.
