Austin Stanton, 14, boxes eggs on Monday. Stanton's chores start immediately after school as he gathers, washes and boxes eggs, which are to be delivered the following business day. Stanton owns 5,000 to 6,000 chickens along with his brother, Dustin, 17, and they have noticed an increased demand for local eggs since the salmonella outbreak.
