Boy Scout and brother sorts through trash

Michael York, 15, and his brother, Sheridan York, 12, sort out recyclables from bags of trash on Saturday at the Boone County Fairgrounds. "It started out with aluminum cans and grew into everything," his mother Bonnie York said. As of August, Michael York had collected three tons of recycling.
