The projects at Jameson Island, Baltimore Bend, Rush Bottom Bend and Tarkio River Chutes were all put on hold in 2007 due to controversy surrounding the projects. The constructed side channel at Jameson Island is 2 miles long and 100 feet wide. It was designed so that, in time, it can grow to be up to 200 feet wide. In the summer it is 5 feet deep. Barney Bend and Wolf Creek Bend are both currently in the planning stages.
