Paint supplies and a rendered drawing of a blues-inspired mural lay on the scaffolding of the Columbia Academy of Music, where on Monday volunteers copied the illustrations to the exterior of the building located at 1020 East Walnut St. The mural design incorporates illustrations from Columbia elementary students who participated in the Blues in the Schools program —a music education program that celebrates appreciation for blues music and history.
