Shortages leave pharmacies without crucial drugs

Two drug bins in the refrigerator at the pharmacy at Missouri Cancer Associates lie empty due to a nationwide drug shortage on August 24. Doxil is prescribed as treatment for ovarian cancer and multiple myeloma. "This is the worst year ever for drug shortages," said Deb Tesoro, pharmacy manager at Missouri Cancer Associates.
