The Missouri football team uses high-power loudspeakers to simulate common noises during a
game in its practices. These loudspeakers are nicknamed “noise machines”. The decibel (dB) is
the unit used to quantify sound levels. Zero dB represents the quietest sound that typical human
ears can hear.
