COLUMBIA'S KIDS: Mothers benefit from lactation consultation at Kilgore Medical Pharmacy

Kilgore's Medical Pharmacy offers free lactation consultations for mothers to educate them on the importance of breastfeeding their babies. Oftentimes, said onsite lactation nurse Beth Johnson, mothers do not breastfeed their children because doing so is both time-consuming and energy-consuming.
Three-week-old Kara Creek is held by her mother Melissa at a lactation consulting appointment at Kilgore's Medical Pharmacy. Kara had a difficult time breastfeeding after she was first born and received some formula. With the free consulting available at Kilgore's, she is now completely breastfed.
