Images from MU's Tap Day, the Missouri State Music Festival and a Silence the Violence rally were among the week's best photos by Missourian staff photographers.

The new glass window panel is prepared to be installed by Adam Shelton and Patron Rhoades of Columbia Glass and Mirror at the parking structure on Fifth and Walnut streets. The blue pane was brought in to replace one of the two broken windows of the Sky Algorithm artwork in the stairwell of the structure.

Bark of Boone County is an event for dogs and their owners to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer.

The event was originally planned to move inside the high school after the march from the Boone County Courthouse, but remained outside because everyone wouldn't be able to fit inside. A framed obituary for Tevin Nelson is raised in the air. At age 21, Nelson was shot in the head and died Oct. 31, 2011.
