Barn fire has been contained and animals are not in immediate danger

A barn fire at 4550 N. Glendale Drive was still being fought at 5:30 p.m. The fire is contained to one building and poses no immediate danger to any animals. Gale Blomenkamp of the Boone County Fire Protection District said firefighters might be there until 10 p.m.
