Boone Hospital Center celebrated the opening of its Healing Garden on Friday morning. The garden, which was built with around $220,000 in donations, offers a place for patients and families to escape the hospital atmosphere.

Bricks with donors’ names are displayed in the Healing Garden of Boone Hospital Center on Friday. According to Jacob Luecke, media relations manager for the hospital, 280 donors donated around $220,000 to construct the garden.
