Kenley Conyers, 6, was named Little Miss Boone County Fair in the contest last year. This year she won't participate in the contest but will be involved in other activities, including the downtown parade.

"I just want you to pick out the colors because you pick out really nice colors," Kenley told her mom. "She's a diva, you can tell," Kenley's dad, Justin Conyers, said. Max, the family's cat, sits on Kenley's chair in the family's living room. He always chooses to sit on her chair instead of Kason's, which is right next to it. "He pretty much loves her," Kenley's mom, Jessi, said about Max and Kenley. "He sleeps with her every night." | Tatiana Fernandez
