MAP: Local developer faces lawsuit of Clean Water Law violation

Attorney General Chris Koster filed a lawsuit against Payne Enterprises Inc., a local developer, for multiple violations of the state's Clean Water Law, including failure to renew the operating permit and submit the annual reports. The lawsuit was filed in Boone County Circuit Court, and it seeks preliminary and permanent injunctions against the developer. Payne Enterprises Inc. currently owns three wastewater treatment sites in Boone, Callaway and Audrain counties. All three sites are situated inside mobile home parks.
