DIAGRAM: How Missourians might power their homes with corn stover

In 2013 the Columbia Municipal Power plant will test burn a mix of coal and corn debris. Because Missourians plant a lot of corn – 330 million acres in 2011 – a corn-fueled power source would help residents achieve energy independence and purchase more of their energy from within the state.
