GRAPHIC: Missouri’s budget reductions lead to education losses
October 3, 2012 | 7:40 p.m. CDTAs state funding decreases, Missouri education suffers, according a report from the Missouri Budget Project. In 2010, 2,500 classroom teachers lost their jobs. From 2000 to 2011, tuition increased by 95 percent at Missouri four-year colleges and by 67 percent at Missouri two-year community colleges. Meanwhile Missouri college graduates had much more student loan debt than in the past.
