CHART: Federal Pell Grant

Amid tuition spikes, an increasing percentage of MU students are receiving a Pell Grant. A Pell Grant is federal student aid extended to undergraduate students based on financial need, tuition costs and hours enrolled. Award amounts ranged from $555 to $5,550 in 2012. The average and maximum money students received and total grants awarded have increased in the past six years.
