Gentry Middle School students load peanut butter for fundraiser

Jackson Greer, left, and Erin Kravchick load carts with almost 1,100 discounted jars of peanut butter from Hy-Vee at Gentry Middle School on Thursday. The fundraiser is an annual event organized by Gentry science teacher Dean Klempke to donate jars of peanut butter to the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri for their Buddy Pack program. The program provides supplemental foods for students that qualify for free or reduced-price school meals.
