October 26, 2012 | 7:27 p.m. CDT
Shaven hair litters the ground around the chair that science teacher Dean Klempke sat in to shave his head Friday at Ann Hawkins Gentry Middle School. This is the first year that Klempke has shaved his head, but he said he would do it again if it meant that they could continue to collect food for the Food Bank. This year the students collected 2,700 jars of peanut butter and Klempke hopes they collect 5,000 next year.
