Democrat Ken Jacob is running for the Missouri House of Representatives' 44th District seat against Caleb Rowden.

Ken Jacob, Democratic state representative candidate for the 44th district, has been a resident in Columbia for about 30 years. He served as state representative from 1983 to 1996. From 1996 to 2004, he served as Missouri state senator and Senate Democratic leader. To campaign for this year's election, Jacob started knocking on doors for his campaign in June and has reached his goal of 5,000 homes.

Family portraits decorate the Jacob home in Columbia. Ken Jacob is married to Nancy Sublette, and they have two children, Daniel, 29, and Jessica, 24. Jacob's wife lives in St. Louis because of her job at United Healthcare, and his daughter, Jessica, lives in California. Jacob's son, Daniel, works as an assistant Missouri attorney general and lives in Columbia.
