Democrat John Wright is seeking to represent the 47th District in the Missouri House of Representatives.

John Wright, Democratic candidate for the 47th District Missouri House of Representatives seat, watches the Missouri football game against Vanderbilt on Oct. 6 at his parent's home in Columbia with his aunts Janey Berry and Lea Morris and uncle Michael Berry. Wright frequently spends time with his family who live in Jefferson City, but visit Columbia often.

He said he spent a lot of time on the trail while growing up in Columbia and often runs after spending time at MU, where he guest lectures in a business class that he helped design. He is unable to teach the class since he is running in the election.
