Urban hydrologist Catherine Beatty shows water monitoring system
November 15, 2012 | 7:27 p.m. CSTBoone County urban hydrologist Catherine Beatty shows the new retrofitted water monitoring system near Bear Creek on Thursday. So far, four of the systems have been installed along the Bear Creek runoff to monitor the effectiveness of pollution reducing systems. Sand, rocks and deep-rooted native plants will help to slow down stormwater and allow sediment to sink into the ground instead of running into streams.
