Runoff flows to Bear Creek

Water runoff flows from the retrofitted monitoring systems near the Grissum Building and Water and Light Power Plant toward Bear Creek on Thursday. The treatment areas are designed to look like manicured landscaping, but the native plants, sand bottoms and rocks slow down runoff and allow pollutants and sediment to settle in the ground.
