Bioretention cell collects stormwater
November 15, 2012 | 7:34 p.m. CSTAnimal tracks can be seen on the newly installed drain system where runoff flows from the bioretention cell near the Grissum Building on Thursday. The bioretention cell is part of a public works project funded by the 319 grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The cell collects stormwater and slows it down with a sand filter system that collects sediments from the water before it continues down the watershed into Bear Creek.
