Bioretention cell collects stormwater

Animal tracks can be seen on the newly installed drain system where runoff flows from the bioretention cell near the Grissum Building on Thursday. The bioretention cell is part of a public works project funded by the 319 grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The cell collects stormwater and slows it down with a sand filter system that collects sediments from the water before it continues down the watershed into Bear Creek.
