Kansas City philanthropist distributes gifts to strangers

Carol Hefty hugs Secret Santa after he gave her a $100 dollar bill while she was looking for supplies at a temporary supply house Thursday at the Oakwood Heights VFW Post 9587 in the borough of Staten Island, New York. The wealthy philanthropist from Kansas City distributed $100 dollar bills to needy people at several locations in Elizabeth, N.J., and Staten Island.
