After a short presentation on budget projections, the Columbia School Board spent almost two hours discussing the salary schedule. Though Karla DeSpain and others favored a temporary freeze, newly elected member Ines Segert says she’d rather dip into reserve funds and see teachers rewarded. Segert ran with the intention of creating a fair and objective atmosphere for teachers.
