PHOTO GALLERY: Sewing store serves as center for snowflakes

Satin Stiches, a sewing and embroidery store, has opened up three sewing machines for people to use to sew snowflakes for the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

Gail Marcy, the store's owner, organized an initiative to sew snowflakes to decorate the new school for Sandy Hook Elementary students in Newtown, Conn. Customers and volunteers can download the pattern online or use the store's machines and supplies for free to create the snowflakes.
