Taylor Bacon inspects a used copy of a Violent Femmes album for scratches, water damage and dust before repairing and re-sleeving the record for sale. The price of each used album is determined by the condition of the original packaging as well as the quality of the sound from each record, which Bacon tests on his turntable behind the counter.

Taylor Bacon prepares an old and damaged vinyl record for cleaning by running it on a record repair turntable equipped with gentle brushes and a lubricant, before listening to the album on a regular record player.

Joe Dino, 23, a regular customer at Hitt Records, searches for a record from the racks of used vinyls. Dino joked with Taylor Bacon, co-owner, that he helps pay the rent for Hitt Records because Dino has spent more than $400 at Hitt Records since it opened in September of this year.
