Guitar Street is named after a businessman, John Guitar, who used to own a store that was previously located where the present-day city hall is located.
Amanda Staley Harrison, the city heritage scholar, mounts a map of the old Guitar Street for the "Guitar Street Columbia Social Network" display Thursday afternoon at the Daniel Boone City Building. The inauguration of the Guitar Street display will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the city building.
