CHART: Crashes involving cellphone use in Missouri

The number of crashes involving cellphones has increased since 2002. Last year, of the 96,964 reported crashes in Missouri, 1,360 involved cellphones. In 2002, 957 crashes involved cellphones out of 185,907 total crashes. Missouri law allows cellphone conversations, but prohibits texting while driving for people 21 and younger.
