PHOTO GALLERY: Mediacom outage sends people in search of Internet downtown

With a snow storm leading to closed campuses and downed Internet on Tuesday, people gathered at Uprise Bakery to enjoy Wi-Fi connections.
Uprise Bakery was crowded with patrons using the bakery's Wi-Fi Tuesday because of the Mediacom Internet outage. A fiber-optic wire was cut during the Monday night snowstorm, leaving Columbia Mediacom subscribers without Internet in their homes.
